It’s time to get your party shoes on and celebrate Fiit’s 5th Birthday 🎉
To some it may feel like forever, and to some it may feel like 2 weeks, but Fiit has officially been around for 5 years. To celebrate, we took a trip down memory lane, asking some of our team members about their favourite Fiit memories. Let’s see what they had to say!
“For me personally, it was the first time we turned on the studio after weeks of work and preparations and filmed our first class. It was with Richie Norton and I remember standing there thinking, this is going to be something truly special.”
– Mitra, VP Production & Enablement
“My favourite memory is filming boss level. It was one of my favourite days, we had all the trainers on set, we were figuring out some cool transitions, it was the hardest class we’d ever filmed and it was nice having everyone around. Especially Luke sitting in the corner, having a cup of tea, that was my favourite transition to film.”
– Kiera, Studio Manager & Lead Editor
“My favourite Fiit memory was launching a feature called Fiit club. I’ll never forget it. We had this launch date in mind, it was 22nd June 2019, way before lockdown, and we had been working on it for three months. No-one really had confidence that it was going to work because we hadn’t really tested it, but I just remember the atmosphere of everyone in the business working towards this one, common goal and we launched it and it became one of our key features for helping people workout through lockdown. I will always remember that, it was pretty exciting”
– James, Managing Director
“Our Airbike event that we did last year at WIT, where we celebrated launching our airbike workouts. That was a 2-day marathon of back-to-back airbike workouts and the biggest event we’ve done at Fiit. It was amazing seeing everyone all come together. We had people fly down from Ireland and Scotland and it was amazing to connect with our wider community. That gave us the idea to roll out more in-person events with our members.”
– Alice M, Head of B2B Marketing & Communications
“My favourite Fiit memory is probably the Fiit Christmas party in 2021 where me and one of the other members of the Fiit team (Baba, who’s like my second dad – have to give him a shout out!) – we had a space hopper race around the Fiit office. It started with me falling on my a** after the first jump, then catching up to Baba, (who is a terrible loser btw) and getting wrestled to the ground just so that I wouldn’t win. It was a good laugh with the team. One of many!”
– Tomas, Head of Operations
